Preparatory schools, boarding schools, and academies that help international student-athletes prepare academically and athletically for U.S. college recruitment.
The Orange Lions Academy is the official national talent development program of the Dutch Basketball Federation (Basketball Nederland), based in Amsterdam. Operating in partnership with the Center for Elite Sports and Education (CTO Amsterdam) and the Dutch Olympic Committee (NOC*NSF), the academy provides a full-time basketball program for elite male and female players ages 15–20.
Athletes at Orange Lions Academy benefit from a professional environment that combines high-level training, competitive play in European leagues (including EYBL), and structured academic support, all essential elements for student-athletes pursuing NCAA opportunities. The program emphasizes individual player development, athletic performance, and the balance between sports and education that NCAA college coaches value.
