I grew up in Spain and started playing basketball when I was eight. Since then, basketball has become a huge part of my life. I have always taken it seriously, but when I was 15, I made the decision to leave Spain and move to Denmark because I wanted to give myself the best possible chance to develop. Leaving home at that age was not easy, but it was a decision I would make again without hesitation. It showed me how much I really want this and how willing I am to make sacrifices for something I believe in. I've competed at two Spanish National Championships and one Danish National Championship, won several regional championships in Spain, and represented a regional team. I see myself as a versatile scoring guard who can shoot, score, defend and do whatever my team needs. Being captain for the past two years has also taught me that leadership is not about being the person who stands out. It's about being there for your teammates, doing the small things and understanding when the team has to come before yourself. My dream has always been to play D1 basketball in the US. I want to compete against players who challenge me every day, be coached by people who want to develop me, and be part of a team where everyone shares the same passion and desire to improve. I know I still have a lot to learn, and that is something I genuinely enjoy about basketball. My mum has been my only financial support throughout my basketball journey. We have never been a high-income family, but she has always put my dreams first and supported me in every way she could, even when it was difficult for her. She has believed in me since I started playing and has always found a way to support what I love. Therefore, earning a scholarship is not only a dream for me, but what would allow me to continue playing basketball at a high level. I would never take that opportunity for granted. My second passion has always been interior design, so I hope to continue pursuing both passions in college.
